Each day, U.S. workers suffer injury and disability from workplace incidents. In the private-sector alone every day, there are an estimated 11,500 nonfatal work-related injuries/illnesses. Injuries to bones and joints sustained in the workplace range from minor strains and sprains to devastating crush injuries or traumatic amputation. Patients suffering from occupational injuries often experience additional stress from real and perceived issues arising from the regulations and claims process surrounding workplace injuries. Dr. Rowan has extensive experience in all aspects of work-related injuries and is often consulted for Independent Medical Evaluations (IME's) for patients who have been injured on the job.
